Serving restaurants, bars, and liquor stores in Vancouver and beyond, Two Lions Trading is a company which is dedicated to importing the absolute best alcoholic beverages from every part of China, Korea, and Japan to British Columbia.
Whether you’re looking for craft beer, artisanal sake, or premium spirits, we work with our business partners in China, Korea, and Japan to find you the finest products out there. We don’t just want to meet your needs, though. We aim to offer exciting experiences from across the Pacific. We aim to bring you and your customers a taste of Asia.
Building Bridges Between Cultures
We love China, Korea, and Japan. We love them so much that we’ve always wanted to bring back a little bit of these places with us to British Columbia. We finally managed to make this dream into a reality.
We chose to call our company Two Lions Trading in reference to the famous pair of pointed peaks which overlook our office in Vancouver, British Columbia. Sitting high and proud above the port, they represent in a certain sense our gateway to the Pacific. This always reminded us of the lion statues known as shishi in China, haetae in Korea, and komainu in Japan which sit next to the entrances to shrines and temples across all of Asia.
Importing craft beer, artisanal sake, and premium spirits, we made it our mission to bring a taste of Asia to British Columbia, but we wanted to build bridges between cultures, too. Part of our mission is to promote Chinese, Korean, and Japanese culture in British Columbia. Through appreciation of authentic products from these parts of the world, we hope that you’ll learn to love China, Korea, and Japan every bit as much as we do.
Bringing People Together
Sharing has always brought people together, whether it’s a hard day's work, a helping hand, or a table spread with good food and drink.
The grains that make our craft beer, artisanal sake, and premium spirits begin life in barley, rice, or wheat fields and when those grains ripen to gold, harvest begins. Across the countryside, teams of neighbors move from field to field until everyone’s crops are collected. At the end of a long day's work, they gather at plank tables and share food, drink, stories, and lots of laughter. This is how communities grow and friendships ripen.
We invite you to gather around your own tables with cherished friends and neighbors to enjoy the fruits of your own harvests and build the bonds that tie your communities together.
